Branding the Biggest.
With two sub-brands, multiple cultivation centers, and a distribution and manufacturing facility, Cannaffornia was soon to be the largest dispensary and consumption lounge in California. Starting from scratch, the Cannaffornia team approached KMA Cannabis in search of a foundational brand that represented affordable quality with an all-inclusive appeal to both budget-minded and high-end consumers.
Strategy was to be devised for Cannaffornia and the two sub-brands - "The Other Guys" and "Queen of Dragons" - while simultaneously spreading the word with PR + billboard and truck advertising.

Branding and strategy were to be created for Cannaffornia, Cannaffornia's two sub brands (The Other Guys + Queen of Dragons), as well as two retail locations associated with the sub brands (The Lab + The Lair).
Cannaffornia's geometric logo mark hints that the company is a cannabis production/retail business in a professional and grounded manner. The typography is grown-up, modern, and adventurous while the colors are welcoming, versatile, and overall inspired by the brand's CA roots.
The California flag-inspired logo pays homage to both the state and the plant the business is built upon.
