Platinum is a fully integrated cannabis manufacturer founded by father and son duo, George and Cody Sadler.
Having started Platinum nearly a decade ago on a shoestring budget, the San Diego-based company grew from a two-man operation to a $70M multistate cannabis empire. The company was acquired in 2020 by Canadian holding company Red, White and Bloom.
A leader in the ever-expanding legal recreational and medical cannabis markets, Platinum products are available throughout 700 compliant Southern California, Michigan and Oklahoma dispensaries. Having been named the “number one vape in Michigan,” three years in a row, the brand is committed to providing customers with third party lab tested premium, potent products. Platinum’s product line includes vape cartridges, flower, edibles and concentrates, offering both THC and CBD options. In 2019, the company expanded its offerings to include CBD-infused products for pets.
During their tenure at Platinum, George and Cody were some of the industry’s first executives to implement procedures and practices that would later become industry standard. Some of the best examples of this include the store-within-a-store concept, the vape buyback program and anticounterfeit packaging. With the help of legacy cannabis public relations firm, Kip Morrison and Associates, these initiatives were broadcast throughout regional, national and industry media including outlets like the San Diego Tribune, Green Entrepreneur and Los Angeles Magazine.
Giving Back
In addition to its innovative business practices, Platinum’s React Foundation was created as a way to give back to six organizations and social causes including: suicide prevention, veteran support, world hunger, animal rescue, breast cancer awareness, and pediatric medical care. The React Foundation additionally focuses on LGBTQIA+ causes, having developed a cannabis Pride vape available for purchase year round. Proceeds from all React products are donated to charities and organizations hand selected by Cody Sadler.
